Start up Project
or business creation in 5th year
Training
The start-up project is the common thread running through the5th year at Sup de Pub. Each year, students at the end of their course work on setting up their own business. To this end, an emblematic place to help them in their approach is set up on each of the school’s campuses: La Fabrik. The mission of this incubator is to support student projects, particularly For Good projects.
Every year, almost 1,200 of them come together at Station F to find the right business project: 240 groups formed, 9,500 m2 in a state of ebullience, 50 professional coaches. An anthill of talent in the making!
The project
1,200 Master 2 students have to develop a professional project during their course. Under the guidance of Lionel Steve, Director of La FabriK, they will create a start-up, taking into account eco-financial constraints, management, marketing, communication, distribution, etc. The aim of this innovative teaching program is to involve students in a positive approach, in favour of the common good, through the creation of impact structures.

Challenges met
By setting up their own business, the students not only strengthen their ability to adapt, their agility and their sourcing skills, but also develop an incredible network strengthened by meetings with partners and mentoring coaches.
- From idea to business creation
- Managing a team
- Managing and successfully raising funds
- Develop partnerships and optimise your network – Present your project orally and defend your positions

At the end of the course, students present their business start-up project to a panel of judges, all experts in the digital ecosystem. Some of them will become true entrepreneurs, while others will have developed and strengthened their management, logistics, marketing and management skills.
The role of the school
Sup de Pub, with Lionel Steve, provides long-term support for students in their final year to help them become employable. Once they have completed their Masters, students can continue to benefit from the help of the professional coaches, some thirty experts including two law firms, who have accompanied them throughout their5th year. They act as mentors, helping to strengthen a network that will ensure the long-term future of the students’ entrepreneurial activities.
In a nutshell
Thanks to the end-of-studies project, the students were encouraged to think about an idea for a start-up. In this way, they learn all the nuts and bolts of setting up a business: management, finance, law, etc., while at the same time thinking about an innovative project. Several students have gone on to set up their own businesses. These projects were created independently of the school, benefiting from all the knowledge they had acquired during their studies.
