This program in Art Direction aims at familiarizing creative students with Anglo-American creative thinking. This a course based around creative mentoring by professionals and continuous briefs is run in collaboration with our partner SCA2.0 in Brixton.

“Hard work beats talent”

A 5th year program for training top creatives in Paris or London.

Because a great idea needs a great execution, SUP de PUB, SUP de CREATION and  CREA Geneva offer a new 5th year program  dedicated to creation and reserved only for the best. We take in a total of 24 students in Paris and 12 in London.

This training  is reserved for experienced creatives  who already have a solid background in the field.  Access to this program is subject to a personal interview with the program directors in addition to the classic admission process.

Creation is everyone’s business, and it is a process that concerns all the steps and links  in a project. Being able  to detect all the  opportunities across the board : media, production, the client….. Here is the menu of all the seminars that will take place throughout the year of study. This will enable  all those involved to imagine and realise creative on all platforms and in all environments.

Assume control, go forward, make the leap! These things must be at the heart of all creative issues. Inspiration can be found everywhere and should not be contained within the walls  of a classroom.

 

The London Program

The classes are run on our  partner’s premises (SCA -School of Communication Arts) from September  to December. Our students are mixed with those of SCA, and together they make up  about 60 people.  The month of January is devoted to completing  their portfolios and the search for an internship which starts in February.

 

The Paris Program

An alternating  work-study arrangement is possible with this program

The course program is organised as a  work-study arrangement with  seminars at the school alternating with work  in the company.

It comprioses  10 full-time weeks of seminars spread throughout the year and some Fridays. The Paris program can be funded by a company with a professional contract or a with a school/ company partnership agreement (“PEE” – partenariat école entreprise).

SCA is a British advertising school which leads the way with regards to creativity awards, notably the prestigious  D&AD award. At the end of the school year the SCA students present their portfolios to a  number of  Creative Directors in London  agencies.

Supplementary classes for improving  different technical software skills, as well as conferences, are also held at the  Marylbone campus of the  INSEEC Groupe  once a week.

Every day at SCA, students attend two conferences given by professionals as well as a brief. Every week the work produced  is presented to Marc Lewis and his coaches. Most of the best–known and recognized professionals in London give at least one conference at SCA during the school year. This very immersive system allows students to meet a maximum number of inspiring people and to enrich their portfolios with a wide diversity of  subjects.

Students must be proficient in English, given the amount and quality of written, and especially oral work demanded by SCA.  In January students also participate in a competition in which they  pitches against the Anglophones teams from the  SUP de PUB  Paris sections.

The best students at the end of the first semester can continue their schooling at SCA or start their internship  at the end of January.

Most of the program

Competitions

One of our students’ favourite moments of the school year is the final competition. Sup de Pub wanted to find a way to closely approximate the experience of
working in an agency to allow our students to develop their professionalism. For more than a week, students, working in interdisciplinary groups, work on a
practical case presented by a large advertiser or a large agency, to answer a specific strategic, marketing or creative problem. Creative students, strategists,
PR, media and digital specialists all work together with the goal of using their various skills to create a real solution of professional quality. Many students have
found internships with the presenting agencies or advertisers because of the impression they have made during the competitions.

Professional Project

At the end of the 5th year, the students must defend before a committee, a Professional Personal Project in order to graduate whether they studied in France or abroad. The professional project is the creation of a new start-up business with students working in groups of 3 or 4. Whether the business is a new product or service, this exercise encourages students to develop their managerial, financial skills as well as the knowledge of business law, Sup de Pub encourages its students to embark on the entrepreneurial adventure. At the end of SP5, the best professional projects benefit from one year of hosting within the INSEEC Group’s business incubator and two other specialist incubators.
