2013 Cannes Lions: INSEEC Graduates won 20 Lions and 1 Grand Prix

The 60th edition of the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival has showcasted the best advertising campaigns and operations around the world.

Among the award-winning campaigns, 11 were carried out by graduates of INSEEC School of Communication. They won a total of 21 awards with their respective agencies (1 Grand Prix, 9 Gold Lions, 4 Silver Lions and 7 Bronze Lions), in several categories:

2013 Etoiles de la Pub: 2 students won the the Grand Jury Prize

As a real creative competition for students, les Etoiles de la Pub highlight the best young creative talents of France.

Alexis Le Bihan and Rodolphe Pinta, both students at INSEEC School of Communication (graduated in 2012), won the Jury Prize at the 6th edition of the competition. Their advertising poster, that put together the hashtag and the Nazi flag to denounce the 2.0 racism, appealed to the jury.

2012 Grand Prix of External Communication: 3 campaigns awarded

The 39th edition of the Grand Prix of External Communication awarded the best poster campaigns of the year, including creations of INSEEC graduates:

  • the "Déjouez la ville" campaign, conducted by Antony Lietart et Sebastien Duhaud, Art Director and Copywriter at CLM BBDO (graduated in 2010), for Smart
  • the "Never Hide" campaign, created by Bastien Grisolet, Art Director at Marcel (graduated in 2008), for Ray-Ban
  • the "Be Proud" campaign, created by Eric Lavenac, Copywriter at Young & Rubicam (graduated in 1998), for Surfrider Foundation Europe.

2012 Cannes Lions: 6 lions for INSEEC graduates

Since its creation in 1954, the Cannes Lions Awards have set the benchmark for excellence in creative communications. In 2012, this international festival of creative advertising awarded campaigns built by graduates of INSEEC School of Communication. They were awarded with their respective agencies in several categories:

Press Category:

  • a GOLD LION for Eric Lavenac, Copywriter at Young & Rubicam (graduated in 1998) for the European Surfrider Foundation campaign.
  • a GOLD LION for Bastien Grisolet, Art Director at Marcel (graduated in 2008), for the NEVER HIDE Ray-Ban campaign.

Media Category:

  • SILVER LION: Esteban Lebouc (graduated in 2011) at BETC, for the MCM PIZZA campaign

Outdoor Category:

  • a SILVER LION for Salome Jestin and Charles-Henry Joyaut de Couesnongle, (graduated in 2011), respectively Art Director and Copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather for the freshness of their Tic-Tac ambient campaign.
  • a BRONZE LION for Alban Penicault (graduated in 1999), Creative Director at Cake for the campaign "Discover what you should not have", made for Canal+ to launch the Borgia series.

Cyber Category:

  • a BRONZE LION for Georges Mohamed-Chérif (graduated in 1991), Director and Founder of Buzzman, and Louis Audard (graduated in 2006), Art Director, for the sequel of the hunter and bear campaign for Tipp-Ex, 2 years after the huge success of the interactive video "A Hunter shoots a Bear"!

2012 Strategies Award for Young Creatives

Every year, the French advertising magazine, Stratégies, organizes its award event to promote young talents the under 30 years working in agencies. In 2012, 2 INSEEC alumni were awarded:

  • Benjamin Karsenti (graduated in 2010), Copywriter at Publicis Conseil, who works with Yves Sarhandian in Twingo and PMU budgets.
  • Johan Chanh-Ming (graduated in 2010), who works as a Copywriter with Chrystel Jung at JWT Paris on the Adverstising Age and Crunch budgets.

2011 Eurobest Festival: 2 students awarded!

Marine Paire and Yohan Le Tensorer, two students who (graduated in 2011) won the DRAFT FCB award at the Eurobest event in Hambourg.

Known as the European Festival of Creativity, the Eurobest Festival rewards creativity in the industry in 13 different categories. It is a place where European creatives can meet, express themselves and find inspiration.

2011 Strategies Award for Young Creatives

In 2011, the Strategies magazine awarded 3 alumni of INSEEC School of Communication:

  • Arnaud Viallaneix (graduated in 2009), who works with with Augustin Camus at DDB, on three accounts: Mini, L'Equipe (sport magazine) and the French Football Federation.
  • Romain Toffoli (graduated in 2008), who works at Leo Burnett with Elise Baudour on the Jeep and Fiat accounts.
  • Finally, Louis Audard (graduated in 2006), who works with Tristant Daltroff for the Buzzman agency on the Tipp-Ex, Hotmail and Bic accounts.
